“Find your tribe, love them hard”

Let me photograph you and your squad…in your happy place

I know that time spent with the family is precious, joyful, exhilarating, exhausting and chaotic…exactly what I’m looking to capture in my family sessions.  Everyday moments are as priceless as the special occasions, the tears as truthful as the smiles.  During my family sessions, I spend time with you and your crew either at home or close by, and get to know you, just enough to tell your story.

If you want to capture the smalls, the olds, the whole clan in action, or if you want to record forever an upcoming special event, get in touch and we can take it from there.

The low-down

Help! What do I wear for a family shoot?
I want you to feel like YOU, I want your personality to come shining through, so please don’t feel like you have to suddenly become more formal or smarten up if that’s really not your vibe.  I do however have a few a few little nuggets of info which may help.  Big branded tops or logo tees are best avoided as they can really date. Simple, plain colours tend to work best, texture and visual interest can be brought in by a patterned scarf, a hat for example.  For larger family groups I recommend focusing on the outfit for one main member and then everyone else work and blend form there.  We’re not look for matchy matchy here AT ALL, but complimentary colours look fab.  You can always chat through your outfit choices with me beforehand.
Shall we bring anything with us?
Depending on the age of your smalls, do bring along their favourite toys, ball, blanket, pet!  If we’re at your home then of course you don’t need to worry, I will let the children lead.  Bringing drinks and snacks is VERY important for those energy boosting / bribery breaks!  Just please be mindful of any snacks that may cause a mess.
Ugh, the weather is awful!
Don’t panic!  Us photographers actually prefer an overcast day.  I’m always on weather watch leading up to a shoot and will only give in to the weather gods if it is persistently raining, in which case I will happily rearrange.  No drama.  Equally, if your child is unwell then just let me know as soon as possible and we will reschedule.
Do you travel for shoots?
I am happy to travel for photoshoots and travel costs will be charged separately.
